Malawi Police have recovered a Toyota
Land cruiser MG 683 that was hijacked in June 2014 belonging to Ntcheu district hospital.

Ntcheu deputy police public relations officer Sergeant Hastings Chigaru confirmed that the vehicle was recovered in Mozambique over the weekend.

Thugs hijacked the vehicle on 22 June, 2014 at Kalitsiro area in ntcheu district.

Driver of the vehicle Daniel Manduwasa 55y, of Chapweteka village T/A Kumtumanji in Zomba district, picked unknown people at Tank stage in Lilongwe after dropping the district health officer at a meeting.

This comes barely some months after Malawi police recovered another vehicle in Mozambique belonging to Information minister.

On monday, police in Dedza shot dead two suspected car hijackers, after exchanging bullets.
