Students at CCAP owned Mlanda girls secondary school in Ntcheu are living in fear after a strange disease paralyzing the legs has attacked over five students.
Head teacher for the school Juliet Chembezi confirmed the development saying authorities are currently referring such patients to their parents as the health center there has not diagnosed any disease among the first victims.
“Its a good number of our students who have been attacked so far. We are currently not aware of the cause,” said Chembezi
While some think this is related to satanic attacks, health experts are yet to establish the problem.
Ntcheu district health office Public relations officer Stella Kawalala said a team of health experts is yet to visit the school.
Kawalala said:- “We are going to the school possibly this sunday so as to investigate the cause and what the disease could be.”
Those attacked fail to walk on their own.
Inside sources said authorities called for men of God to pray for the school and some attacked, upon allegations that it could be satanic attacks.
